About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our Defence Commercial, Legal & Contracts team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for proactively managing and directly influencing our bids and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and recommendations to the business on commercial issues, risks, liabilities, and opportunities.
  • Develop commercial propositions for major win-business campaigns.
  • Support senior management in commercial negotiations with customers, consortium partners, and sub-contractors.
  • Provide bid and project teams with advice, recommendations, and costings pertaining to UK and International contracts.
  • Respond to and negotiate customers' proposed contractual agreements and Contract 'Changes'.
  • Identify and manage issues and disputes arising with customers in conjunction with the Legal function.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a commercial background in the defence sector, with experience of managing contracts/risks and/or a legal background combined with commercial experience. You will have demonstrable experience working within a complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-site organisation.

You will be adept at building and managing relationships across all levels and throughout the identify, bidding, negotiation, and delivery phases of bids/projects. You will have proven analytical and written skills and the ability to understand pricing, risks, and mitigation of contracts.
