About the Job:

The Scientific Support Assistant will assist in the daily operations of the laboratory, including sample analysis and result entry into our LIMS system. The successful candidate will also participate in advanced analytical work within the company and collaborate with external laboratories as required.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Support laboratory team members in analyzing samples and entering results into the LIMS system.
  2. Conduct advanced analytical work within the company, as directed by the laboratory manager.
  3. Collaborate with external laboratories on projects as necessary.
  4. Develop and implement effective laboratory procedures, ensuring compliance with UKAS ISO 17025 standards.
  5. Train staff members on laboratory techniques and health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 4 years' post-graduation experience in a laboratory setting.
  2. Strong background in analytical techniques, including spectroscopy, chromatography, and titration.
  3. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  4. Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, such as chemistry, biology, or physics.

Salary and Benefits:
