  1. Normally performs routine work without requiring detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
  2. Independently carries out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
  3. Drive actions to mitigate potential delivery delays by identifying risks, performing root cause analysis and development of recovery plans to bring shipments back in-line with customer requirements.
  4. Coordinates all activities related to procurement beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
  5. Analyses the requirements, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed.
  6. Responsible for providing purchasing KPI and accountable for team performance.
  7. Supported by the Buying Team, ensures that all Purchase orders are issued to suppliers in a timely manner and that terms and conditions reflect the requirements of the programme.
  8. Ensures that Quality, Price and Leadtime information in the ERP systems is accurate.
  9. Negotiates the lowest possible cost balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs.
  10. Assures material is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.
  11. Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
  12. Liaises with Production, Quality Assurance and Programmes to ensure product and service quality levels are maximized.
  13. Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviours in past projects, roles or experiences.
  14. Proficiency in MS Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Supply chain experience for an aerospace and/or Defence Company.
  2. Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Supply Chain or Procurement experience.
  4. Experience with MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Education/Experience:

  1. Prior relevant experience in a related field.
  2. Preferred qualification in a Business/Commercial/procurement.
  3. Annual bonus.
