Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced makeup artist to lead our cosmetics team in a flagship store in Sheffield. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, providing expert advice on our products, and driving sales growth.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum (pro rata), plus eligibility for basic and enhanced commission on sales, retail incentive schemes, and a generous employee product discount.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing high-quality makeup applications that meet our brand standards;
  • Assisting clients with product knowledge, makeup applications, and purchases;
  • Maintaining specialized product knowledge and reinforcing Pat McGrath application techniques with your team;
  • Accountable for achieving sales goals and maintaining consistent appointment bookings;
  • Analysing sales data and creating strategies with management to consistently meet and exceed targets;
  • Sharing your expertise to provide customers with exceptional and personalized service;
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team to create memorable customer experiences;
  • Managing customer feedback and using it constructively to improve service, sales, and retail standards;
  • Adapting to the challenges of a fast-paced work environment and being flexible with your role responsibilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Lead Makeup Artist;
  • Exceptional makeup skills and the ability to perform high-quality applications;
  • Confidence in connecting artistry and education to sales;
  • A strong understanding of current beauty trends and the latest products;
  • A great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • A willingness to develop excellent product knowledge and stay up-to-date with competitor activity;
  • Sales and service expertise, with the ability to deliver the extraordinary every time;
  • Flexibility and a responsive attitude, with a willingness to take responsibility for tasks beyond the role expectation;
  • A confident coach, self-driven to upskill and learn, with a commitment to developing personal artistry skills.
