Job Summary
As a skilled Aircraft Avionics Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and upgrading the UK Typhoon fleet. You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and inspections on aircraft avionic assemblies, components, and installations during scheduled servicing, maintenance, and upgrade. About the Role
This position requires an individual with a strong background in engineering and a passion for working with complex systems. As a Typhoon Maintenance Specialist, you will ensure that all maintenance complies with design specifications and meets the requirements laid down in applicable technical publications. You will also be responsible for performing a range of maintenance tasks, including strip, repair, modification, and maintenance work, with appropriate levels of supervision. The successful candidate will be competent to work with approved data, able to read basic engineering drawings, clear own paperwork, and deliver work ready for inspection.

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out maintenance and inspections on aircraft avionic assemblies, components, and installations during scheduled servicing, maintenance, and upgrade.
- Ensuring that all maintenance complies with design specifications and meets the requirements laid down in applicable technical publications.
- Performing a range of maintenance tasks, including strip, repair, modification, and maintenance work, with appropriate levels of supervision.

Requirements
- Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering, or Military equivalent apprenticeship/qualifications.
- Aircraft platform type training (on a/c requirement) - educated to ONC level or equivalent military training.
- Maintenance experience working on Typhoon or Fast jet.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is approximately £37,356 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
