Care Services Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Care Services Manager to join our team at Eden Court, a deluxe Retirement Village in Battersea. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents.
Main Responsibilities:- Coordinate resident assessments, ensuring a person-centered approach and effective communication with families.
- Support the Care Services Manager in setting standards for senior care responsibilities, including excellence in resident care and outreach to families.
- Contribute to the hiring and retaining of dedicated Care Assistants and facilitate ongoing training opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the appropriate levels of care are always in place.
- Support the Safe Medication Management programme, ensuring robust auditing procedures and identifying training needs.
- Collaborate with General Practitioners and Consultants to create a framework for regular medication evaluation.
- Ensure effective staff scheduling and completion of daily assignments.
- Regularly communicate with family members regarding resident needs and progress.
- Conduct and oversee effective handovers between shifts, ensuring the Care Services Manager is informed.
- Provide coaching and support to Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants as needed.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in long-term care or a similar industry.
- Ability to plan, implement, evaluate, and document care delivery.
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of COSHH and CQC regulations.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Dementia experience/qualification desirable.
- RGN/RMN qualified.
