About the Role

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our North Ayrshire Elderly Community Mental Health Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide assessment, care, support, and interventions to patients and carers living in North Ayrshire.
  • Supervise and support junior members of staff to ensure high-quality care and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of older adults with complex mental health problems.
  • Work in partnership with primary care, community, social work, and third sector colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with Part 3 of the NMC Register.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed knowledge of care of older people with complex mental health problems in the community.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide clinical supervision.
  • UK driving license and car ownership essential.
