About the Role

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our North Ayrshire Elderly Community Mental Health Team. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues in primary care, community, social work, and the third sector to provide high-quality care and support to older adults with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess, care, support, and intervene with patients and carers living in North Ayrshire.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to junior members of staff.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery.
  • Participate in continuous professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with Part 3 of the NMC Register.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed knowledge of care for older people with complex mental health problems in the community.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide clinical supervision.
  • UK driving license and car ownership are essential for this role.
