Project Manager - Exhibition

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at GES - Global Experience Specialists. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing exhibition builds from initial brief to delivery on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage exhibition builds, controlling budgets, build, design, technical design, graphics, and logistics teams to ensure all services align on site.
  2. Manage suppliers for electrics, flooring, graphics, and AV prior to build and on site.
  3. Attend group meetings and explain project details and objectives.
  4. Check project budgets for accuracy against project details and manage this through Spiro software.
  5. Send clear briefs to technical design to achieve project objectives.
  6. Confidentially discuss engineering solutions with account management, build, and design teams.
  7. Provide all details to the sales, estimating, and production teams.
  8. Issue technical drawings to account managers, graphics, and build for approval.
  9. Submit logistics information and accurate requirements to depot and control transport timings with project lead times.
  10. Travel to UK/EU venues to oversee build and suppliers and sign off build quality before handing it to the client.
  11. Check all shipping documents for shipment accuracy.
  12. Identify items for purchase and optimize items usage for sustainable and financial prospects.
  13. Be flexible and forward-thinking towards the project, creating and adapting to last-minute changes/adds that benefit the project.
  14. Review and approve quality of produced items.
  15. Work closely with external departments, sales, and accounts to meet all ExpoServices requirements.
  16. Proficient knowledge of transport/tracking software.
  17. Proficient knowledge of GBMS (bespoke software - training provided).

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in Exhibit Construction/Management, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Management, Industrial Design, or related fields.
  2. Drafting experience, CAD drafting preferred.
  3. Thorough knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and graphics.
  4. Ability to monitor, understand, manage, and control project costs and their impacts on project performance.
  5. Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PPT).
  6. Experience using ERP, Work Order, and Inventory Management Systems preferred.
  7. Ability to understand and read fabrication and installation drawings.
