About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Designer to join our Marketing & Communications team at First Rate Exchange Services. As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for developing innovative and impactful visual concepts and designs that align with our brand guidelines and marketing objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital, social media, and traditional creative work, including web, app, retail, and CRM. You will be responsible for conceptual design, managing workflow, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver creative projects to brief.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret creative briefs to engage the desired audience and support the desired action/outcome.
  • Develop innovative and impactful visual concepts and designs that align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Manage workflow of creative briefs, adapting to key operational processes.
  • Generate high-quality marketing collateral across multiple mediums, including web, social media assets, motion graphics, videos, podcasts, whitepapers, ebooks, interactive pdfs, and email templates.
  • Liaise with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and partners to ensure seamless production and delivery of creative materials/campaigns.
  • Source photography and materials in line with brand guidelines to enhance quality and relevancy.
  • Video and photographic editing.
  • Brand consistency/brand guardianship - ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all design deliverables, maintaining a strong and recognisable brand identity.
  • Maintain a Brand Portal with the latest design assets, images, and graphics.
  • Bringing fresh ideas and approaches, as well as being knowledgeable of current industry trends.
  • Stay current with design trends and technology and continuously seek to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the other members of the team to build a thriving work environment where knowledge and ideas are shared.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Aftereffects). Experience using Figma.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital, social media, and traditional creative work (including web, app, retail, CRM - including email and in-app content).
  • Understanding of dark mode, accessibility requirements, and thinking mobile first.
  • Experience in digital channels and social media platforms is crucial, in particular, how to optimise creative work for the channel.
  • Video editing and post-production experience in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and graphic design and a love of branding.
