Commercial Territory Sales Manager

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Territory Sales Manager to join our team at Sharpsmart UK, managing accounts in Yorkshire. This field-based role will involve taking full responsibility for managing existing accounts, up-selling and growing profits within those accounts, as well as conducting mobilisations and holding regular customer meetings.

The ideal candidate will be fully accountable to their customers and will quickly develop a thorough understanding of Sharpsmart business, service models, and products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders for each customer/prospect
  • Adhering to company sales and/or contract management processes
  • Maintaining accurate customer and opportunity records within CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Completing and submitting customer quotations
  • Owning and maintaining FY sales strategy for specified territory and customer base
  • Achieving specified sales targets as set by the business
  • Providing regular market updates to the business and delivering presentations to customers/prospects
  • Identifying right-fit customers and attaining key sales information to develop opportunities
  • Timely progression of opportunities within individual pipeline
  • Attendance at exhibitions/events as required
  • Qualification of leads and progression to opportunities
  • Protecting and increasing profit within existing accounts
  • Conducting customer audits as required by contract
  • Providing assistance in cases and escalation events where required
  • Effective liaison and coordination of Field Service resources
  • Hosting and attendance at customer Duty of Care meetings

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Contract Manager position in Healthcare/Clinical Waste sector
  • Experience in developing sales strategy for own customer base achieving specified sales targets
  • Proven experience in managing customer accounts including up-selling and growth of profits
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written, including presentation skills
  • Understanding of all Microsoft Packages - Intermediate use of Excel and PowerPoint and CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits and bonuses based on performance.
