We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team at a well-established secondary school in North Northamptonshire.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach across the science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) with the ability to specialise in one area if desired.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and student participation.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring they are fully equipped to achieve their target grades.
- Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and ongoing professional development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for effective teaching and learning.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational developments and best practices in science education.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification, degree is a minimum.
- A degree in a relevant science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- Previous experience teaching science at Key Stages 3 and 4; experience with Key Stage 5 is desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching science.
- Right to work in the UK.
