Senior Clinical Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our Community Eating Disorder Service. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the ongoing development of the service, building on recent growth and identifying new opportunities for the team.
Working closely with the Service and Strategic Lead, Team Manager, Consultant Adult Psychiatrist, and Clinical Lead (CYP), you will be accountable for the ongoing development and delivery of a comprehensive community eating disorder service for adult patients. You will also promote the development of effective working relationships with key external stakeholders, including colleagues in primary care, the North East London Adult Eating Disorder Provider Collaborative, ICBs, and other statutory and voluntary agencies.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and quality control, ensuring adherence to evidence-based models in eating disorders.
- Set, implement, and evaluate clear, achievable, and measurable objectives for the Eating Disorder Service.
- Ensure organisational knowledge of Trust protocols and procedures, adhering to them, particularly safeguarding.
- Ensure advanced knowledge of effective risk management at team level, reporting accidents, assessing, and controlling risk, and ensuring residual risks are added to the Trust register.
- Provide leadership, promoting initiative, creativity, and motivation to ensure staff personal development and training needs are addressed.
- Coordinate the implementation of service developments and changes, considering operational implications and minimising disruption to services.
- Participate/lead in the development of an effective team and productive working relationships throughout the Trust.
- Actively promote integrated health professional working internally and externally.
- Facilitate the development of a positive and supportive team culture, dealing effectively with potential conflict.
- Be a post-graduate qualified psychological practitioner or graduate qualified healthcare professional, fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body.
- Be responsible and accountable for service delivery to clients via NICE-compliant pathways for eating disorders.
- Assess and develop plans of care to meet the complex needs of clients with varied conditions.
- Provide clients and families with information and education, promoting meaningful choices that ensure dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Ensure practice is supported by research, evidence-based practice, literature, and peer review.
- Evidence of advanced formulation and key lines of enquiry.
- Evidence of delivering expert supervision.
- Evidence of advanced training.
- Post-graduate qualifications to MSc level and above.
- Significant experience in NHS and ED service.
- Experience of managing teams.
- Direct eating disorders experience.
- Evidence of strong leadership skills.
- Evidence of MDT working.
- Interest in staff wellbeing.
