Job Title: IT Business Analysis Manager

Lead IT Business Analyst, Hybrid Role, Permanent

Job Summary:

This role is for a high-calibre business analysis professional, leading the IT Business Analysis team, charged with undertaking critical and continual reviews of business processes across the GDC and on the analytical delivery of major organisational process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the IT Business Analysis team following good management practices, ensuring senior managers and the wider team are motivated and meet their objectives.
  2. Lead additional contract resources when required for major initiatives such as the FtP End to End Review programme.
  3. Lead the Business Analysts Working Group including promoting effective communication and buy-in between IT and business teams.
  4. Identify, design and oversee in partnership with GDC teams, IT developments for the benefit of GDC staff e.g. improvements to CRM.
  5. Design a GDC service catalogue process as directed by the Head of IT including completion of comprehensive 'as is' and 'to be' process maps.
  6. Define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plans for all IT projects and manage their development and delivery.
  7. Lead on the IT Change Management process. Be responsible for the management of the IT Change Advisory Board, coordinate and administer the IT Change Request process.
  8. Develop a continuous service improvement culture within IT to ensure that it can continue to evolve in line with the changing GDC business environment.
  9. Support the Associate Director of IT with IT governance and the mechanisms in place to ensure compliance, legislative and other, developing IT policies in line with change initiatives.
Personal and Professional Skills:
  1. Demonstrable business process analysis and re-engineering skills with the ability to transform the efficiency of administrative processes, including customer service transactions, maximising productivity, efficiency, effectiveness and transparency.
  2. Proven line management experience and skills including managing performance in a project and an operational environment, plus experience of coaching, teaching or training others.
  3. Identify improvement opportunities in business processes, working methodologies & behaviours, seeking alignment with complementary or related initiatives.
  4. Support wider Teams in shaping creative solutions for addressing identified improvement areas.
  5. Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality. Able to work independently and effectively and use own initiative to deliver projects.
  6. Expertise in continuous improvement management including working knowledge of Lean, Kaizen operational process and procedure.
  7. Committed to equality and diversity in service delivery.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience of managing a Business Analyst function.
  2. Experience of building successful and effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and can manage these relationships over a sustained period.
  3. Experience of developing, coaching, and managing staff.
