Job DescriptionAs a Theatre Scrub Nurse, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of individualised nursing care according to PHG Policies and Practice and Clinical Guidelines. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in the operating theatre
- Liaising with colleagues to ensure continuity of clinical practice
- Providing assistance to the surgeon/anaesthetist/nursing/ODP colleagues as required
- Acting as a member of the surgical scrub team either as a scrub or circulating practitioner
To be considered for this role, you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse or an ODP with a current active NMC Pin or HCPC Registration. A minimum of 1 year's experience in a theatre scrub role is preferred, as well as experience of working in the independent sector. You should also have evidence of clinical competence and regular clinical practice, as well as the ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing and in electronic formats.
