Job Summary

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will be responsible for leading the forecasting and planning activities of the business, acting as a virtual business partner to finance and having high visibility with the board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, with buy-in from key stakeholders across the business.
  • Analyse and interpret weekly and monthly performance, highlighting and understanding issues and opportunities with appropriate recommendations.
  • Work closely with other finance teams to enhance the forecasting of working capital to improve cash flow forecasting accuracy.
  • Support the financial reporting team in reviewing monthly results, providing commentaries and analysis to understand variances.
  • Challenge the cost base and identify opportunities for savings and efficiencies.
  • Support the measurement of initiatives to assess performance against key success criteria.
  • Support the development of financial systems across the business where appropriate.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong technical background coupled with demonstrable commercial acumen. In addition, they will need excellent influencing and communication skills to liaise at senior level, have advanced Excel capabilities and possess the confidence and ability to challenge behaviours and develop and deliver strategies for improvement.
