An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Senior Project Manager within our Capital Development team at The University of Wolverhampton.

Job Overview

This role is responsible for managing single/multiple projects that may involve;

  • Managing and overseeing any new builds, providing advice on proposed construction methods, materials, fixtures/fittings and sustainable construction methods
  • Assisting with the preparation of tender documentation, procurement strategies
  • The acquisition of land or property
  • Lease of property
  • The refurbishment of an existing building
  • The purchase, installation or relocation of equipment

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver major infrastructure projects in excess of £8m, management of budgets and financial resources
  • Excellent organisational skills with demonstrable experience of planning the delivery of service and projects
  • Professional knowledge of Regulatory, local and national and experience of compliance
  • Experience in the management of construction projects and operational services in a customer focussed environment
  • Knowledge of the application of BIM and soft landings
  • A sound understanding of contractual procedures, legislation and regulations in the UK construction industry

Requirements

  • MSc in Construction, Built Environment or other related areas
  • Membership of or working towards membership of an appropriate professional body such as Member of Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) member of associated project manager (MAPM)

We offer a competitive salary range: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with excellent benefits.
