Family Support and Protection Social Work Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated social worker to join our Family Support and Protection team. As a social worker in this role, you will work with families to promote sustainable change and support them in achieving their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with families using systemic and strengths-based social work approaches
  • Work with families on Child in Need and Child Protection plans to promote sustainable change
  • Develop strong relationships with partners, other agencies, and the local community to achieve joint objectives
  • Deliver value for money interventions balanced against need
  • Make clear decisions to highlight and limit potential risks associated with intervention

Requirements

  • A recognised social work qualification, with current registration with Social Work England as a registered social worker
  • Evidence of continuing professional development, aligned to any relevant Professional Competency/Capability frameworks or Knowledge and Skills Statements
  • Experience within a social work setting, with evidence of challenging social and family situations
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to develop a rapport and engage with diverse groups of individuals
