Reed Education/Lancashire Teaching Agency is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a Primary School in Accrington. This role is ideal for someone passionate about contributing to the development and education of children.

The position is a full-time opportunity, requiring the candidate to work 5 days a week from 08:45 – 15:15. The Teaching Assistant will provide learning support for a Year 3 class, assisting in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
  • Working under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Helping to manage classroom resources and setup for activities.
  • Supervising students during non-classroom times, including lunch and recess as needed.
  • Contributing to the monitoring and recording of student progress.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with children.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
