Clinical Nurse Specialist

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse to join our team.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing and delivering individual patient care, and coordinating clinic allocations. They will also act as a role model, demonstrating high levels of clinical expertise and managing a multidisciplinary team.
Main Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
- Deliver safe care within a challenging and changing clinical environment, using equipment and resources safely and as appropriate.
- Participate in mentorship and educational programs for students and other members of the team.
- Adhere to all Trust policies and procedures and professional code of conduct.
- Supervise and mentor unqualified/qualified staff and students.
- Input and retrieve patient information from computer-based systems and maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records.
- Support multi-professional teams within the department, advising patients on pre-operative and post-operative care, including wound care.
- Undertake specific delegated tasks following appropriate training and competency levels.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Educated at degree level.
- NMC registered.
- Post-registration development (Teaching and Assessing qualification).
- Plaster Course.
- Ponsetti.
- Act as a role model and exemplary leader.
The following qualifications and experience are desirable:
- Wide variety of general nursing skills relevant to different clinic sub-specialties within the department.
- Registered nurse with appropriate experience.
- Mentoring/facilitation/teaching/assessing and coaching.
- Plaster Room experience.
- Promote quality improvement initiatives.
- Orthopaedic and Trauma experience.
- Working in clinics.
- Plaster Room skills.
