Supporting Children with SEND and SEMH Needs

We are seeking a confident and proactive Psychology Graduate to work as a teaching assistant in our partner schools across Haringey. As a specialist teaching assistant, you will work with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis, providing support and guidance to help them overcome their identified behaviour, SEMH, and SEN needs, including ASD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with pupils in the classroom, in specialist mentoring sessions, and during break times
  • Develop and implement suitable interventions and approaches to support pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO, senior management team, and outside agencies to ensure comprehensive support for pupils

Requirements:

  • Psychology Graduate degree
  • Experience in CAMHS or child mental health services
  • Passion for supporting children with SEND and SEMH needs
