Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our Older Adult Mental Health Liaison Team.

About the Role: As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, treatment, and planning of care for people over the age of 65 (or under 65 if there is a diagnosis of a dementia illness) across various hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full assessment for patients and provide a nursing diagnosis or following discussion with medical staff a confirmed mental health diagnosis.
  • Use robust interpersonal and communication skills with patients, their support network, medical, nursing, and allied health professionals.
  • Ensure integration of the Liaison Team within acute settings and maintain positive working relationships with all staff.
  • Work autonomously and contribute to the ethos of delivering the right care to the right patient at the right time.

Requirements: Experience of working in an Older Adults Mental Health setting and a wide knowledge of Functional and Organic psychiatric diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions are advantageous.
