SEN Classroom Mentor Role
Academics is seeking a dedicated SEN Classroom Mentor to support students with diverse needs in a mainstream primary school. The ideal candidate will work closely with the SENCo and teachers to address individual learning goals and provide essential academic and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students aged 3 to 11 with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, behavioral challenges, sensory issues, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.
- Work in small groups and one-to-one with students to help them thrive in the classroom environment.
- Collaborate with the SENCo and teachers to develop and implement individual learning plans.
Requirements:
- Resilient and calm under pressure, with a compassionate approach to supporting students.
- Positive and energetic, with the ability to uplift the classroom atmosphere.
- Experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is beneficial but not essential.
Position Details:
- Role: SEN Classroom Mentor
- Location: Wantage area
- Pay: £83.50 to £90 per day
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
