We seek an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at New Barn School, a leading specialist education provider for vulnerable pupils and young people.
About the Role
The successful candidate will teach a range of subjects, delivering high-quality education to students of all ages. A therapeutic approach to teaching and learning is essential, with a focus on promoting positive outcomes and empowering young people to reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions, utilizing a range of strategies to cater to diverse learning needs
- Plan and assess curriculum development, ensuring curriculum areas are challenging yet achievable
- Develop and implement individual education plans, setting targets and assessing progress
- Build strong relationships with students, promoting their interest and participation in education
- Contribute to a stimulating and purposeful learning environment, both within and outside the formal classroom setting
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status, with a background in teaching a range of subjects at a good or outstanding level
- Knowledge of current education issues, including practice, process, and curriculum
