Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism in a mainstream Primary School in Wantage.

The successful candidate will have experience working with Autism, SEMH and have a strong understanding of how to provide effective support to children with special educational needs.

The role will involve working closely with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support the child's learning and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized support to the child with Autism
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson planning and delivery
  • Developing and implementing strategies to support the child's learning and well-being
  • Working closely with other support staff to ensure a consistent approach to supporting the child

Requirements:

  • Experience working with Autism and SEMH
  • Strong understanding of how to provide effective support to children with special educational needs
  • Ability to work closely with the class teacher and other support staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
