About the Position

As a KS3 SEMH tutor, you will be working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs in the Loughton area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one tuition sessions to secondary-aged pupils at their homes or local public libraries
  • Create personalized learning resources tailored to each child's needs
  • Maintain engagement and motivation in children with challenging behavior
  • Establish strong relationships with pupils and track their progress
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience working with children who require additional support due to various reasons such as recent moves, exclusions, being a Looked After Child, or a recent diagnosis of SEN/SEMH
  • Background working with children exhibiting challenging behavior
  • Able to design and deliver engaging core academic sessions
  • Monitor and report pupil progress to parents/guardians
