Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities.

In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including personal care needs, managing saliva/secretions, and assisting with daily living activities. You will also work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and provide ongoing therapy for management of posture. Additionally, you will be required to administer medications via PEG and monitor pain levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal care needs
  • Management of saliva/secretions (suction machine has been ordered)
  • Management of PEG feeds and flushes
  • Monitoring of weight due to weight loss
  • Continence care
  • Management of skin integrity
  • Full assistance with moving and handling ensuring risk assessment is followed
  • Anticipation of all needs
  • Reassurance and management of distress
  • Administration of medications via PEG
  • Monitoring of pain
  • On-going therapy for management of posture
  • Night time needs
  • Assistance with hydrotherapy

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 Years Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant (required)
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Brain injury / spinal injury (required)
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Peg feeding (required)
  • A valid UK driving licence with vehicle (required)
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to vulnerable individuals
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary

Working Details:

Estimated salary: £25,750 per annum based on 40-45 hours per week

Working Hours: 40-45 hours per week

Pay Type: Hourly: £12.50
