IT Systems Support Specialist

Are you a highly skilled IT professional with a passion for resolving complex technical issues? Hiring People is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team as a 2nd Tier Analyst / Systems Administrator, offering a competitive salary of £40,000 plus benefits based in Cambridge or remote with occasional travel.
The Job Role
As a 2nd Tier Analyst / Systems Administrator, you will work closely with customers, third parties, and internal teams to provide top-notch support for our products built on the Salesforce platform.
Your primary responsibilities will include escalating support tickets from 1st line support, identifying root causes, making necessary adjustments, and providing clear communication to customers at all stages of the ticket lifecycle.
- You will be responsible for configuring system settings, security models, and document templates as required by our customers.
- Collaborate with the internal project team to develop project documentation and configuration templates.
- Maintain accurate records of your work so others within the team can leverage it on future projects.
- Prior experience with configuring or developing business (web) applications.
- A solid understanding of concepts such as data models, security models, and workflows.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems like Salesforce Case / Jira / Trello and key workflows / lifecycles for support tickets.
- Excellent customer service skills, ensuring positive outcomes for external customers and internal stakeholders alike.
- You must be a self-starter, comfortable working outside the box, and eager to learn new technologies and tools.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis and/or migration work.
- Salesforce experience, preferably with Force.com platform.
- Proficiency in working with and configuring cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc).
- Commercial awareness to identify chargeable work requests.
