Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Materials Handling Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing temporary cover at our site in Leeds, with further work expected on other locations following this cover period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the implementation of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements on site, ensuring compliance with project HSEQ standards.
  • Develop and implement effective risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) to mitigate HSE hazards and ensure safe working practices.
  • Coordinate the execution of materials handling operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Collaborate with site management and HSE teams to identify and address HSE hazards, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure that all personnel under their control are aware of and comply with HSEQ requirements, and that work is carried out in accordance with contract specifications and project time and budget requirements.
  • Prepare and follow-up on deviations and claims, and progress change requests (technical, time, and costs).
  • Support the Site Supervisor with information regarding deliveries and ensure that all site-related activities are communicated to the Site Manager.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in materials handling coordination and logistics management.
  • Materials Management and Logistics diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements.
  • Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or equivalent.
  • Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS, or CCNSG card or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications and Sharepoint.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
