About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team at HMP Whitemoor as a Facilities Maintenance Operative. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for prisoners and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out routine maintenance tasks and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of the prison
  • Working alongside experienced colleagues to maintain the building fabric and provide a safe and secure environment
  • Providing excellent customer service to prisoners and staff
  • Contributing to the overall success of the facilities management team

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a maintenance or facilities management environment
  • Ability to work at height and in confined spaces
  • Good health and safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
