We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Facilities Maintenance Operative to join our team at HMP Whitemoor, a High Security & Adult/Male prison.

About the Role:

  • As a Facilities Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
  • You will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of prisoners and staff.
  • You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where no two days will be the same.
  • You will be required to use your skills and experience to create a safe and secure environment for all.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a prison environment or a similar setting.
  • Experience of using hand and power tools.
  • Previous experience of working within a building fabric or Hard FM environment.
  • Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification.
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills.
