Job Title: Rotating Machine Field Service Engineer

Job Summary:

GE Vernova's Power Conversion business is seeking a skilled Rotating Machine Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of rotating machine maintenance on customer sites across the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver field services fulfillment for our customers in terms of EHS, Quality, and Delivery.
  2. Provide technical direction and supervision to a team of technicians and craft labor, when required.
  3. Installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of mechanical rotating machine systems.
  4. Lead and maintain high standards of EHS in the field, working directly with the GE EHS leadership and service management teams and our customers towards achieving our goal of zero injuries.
  5. Carry out mechanical maintenance and/or electrical testing in line with the customer's requirements and as agreed by GE commercial teams.
  6. Write risk assessments, method statements, and site reports using GE provided laptop and GE templates.
  7. Comply with Company EHS policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Electrical Technicians Certificate, Mechanical Technicians Certificate, or equivalent from a reputable College or Relevant apprenticeship.
  2. Experience in 2 or more of the following disciplines is required:
  3. Machine Assembly
  4. Mechanical fitting
  5. Winding
  6. Electrical Testing
  7. Previous Rotating Machine Service
  8. Knowledge of basic Microsoft office applications (word and excel)
  9. Full Clean Driving License
  10. Be willing to travel in the UK and globally to customer sites, often at short notice.
  11. British Nationality
  12. MoD security clearance obtained or are able to obtain it.
