Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Trainee Field Service Engineer to join our team at Manpower Group (UK). As a Trainee Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and calibrating Coordinate Measurement, Optical, and X-ray systems at customer premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete installation, maintenance, and calibration of Coordinate Measurement, Optical, and X-ray systems at customer sites.
  • Support customers within the UK, with opportunities to work in Ireland and Europe.
  • Perform machine acceptance tests following national standards.
  • Diagnose and fault-find repairs/breakdowns at customer sites and respond accordingly.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain regular communication with customers.
  • Maintain and plan stock, tools, and equipment based on specific tasks and customer requirements.
  • Ensure accurate customer and internal documentation completion to maintain compliance and traceability.
  • Support customers by remotely accessing customer equipment to resolve machine issues.
  • Work closely with the team, adhering to service level agreement commitments, and highlight any escalations as necessary.
  • Maintain and adhere to company and customer health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and self-manage travel and hotel bookings.
  • Assist and support other team members on complex repairs, retrofits, and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • Technical Apprenticeship completed or experience in an electronics/mechatronics engineering role within the armed forces.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Permitted to work throughout the UK and Ireland.
