Job Summary
GE Aviation's Power Conversion business is seeking a skilled Rotating Machine Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on rotating machines at customer sites worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality field services to customers, ensuring excellent EHS, Quality, and Delivery performance.
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to a team of technicians and craft labor, as needed.
- Install, commission, troubleshoot, and service mechanical rotating machine systems.
- Lead and maintain high standards of EHS in the field, working closely with GE EHS leadership and service management teams to achieve our goal of zero injuries.
- Perform mechanical maintenance and/or electrical testing in line with customer requirements and GE commercial agreements.
- Develop and maintain risk assessments, method statements, and site reports using GE-provided templates.
- Comply with Company EHS policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Electrical Technicians Certificate, Mechanical Technicians Certificate, or equivalent from a reputable college or relevant apprenticeship.
- Experience in 2 or more of the following disciplines: Machine Assembly, Mechanical Fitting, Winding, Electrical Testing, or Previous Rotating Machine Service.
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
- Full Clean Driving License.
- Willingness to travel in the UK and globally to customer sites, often at short notice.
- British Nationality.
- MoD security clearance obtained or ability to obtain it.
