About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Mental Health Worker to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Youth Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the social, emotional, and mental health development of children aged 5-11 who have experienced trauma and require additional support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children in developing their social skills, emotional wellbeing, and mental health
  • Work closely with trained professionals, including psychologists and therapists, to provide a comprehensive support package
  • Shadow psychologists and therapists to gain valuable experience and knowledge
  • Provide individualized support to children, tailoring their education to meet their unique needs
  • Empower children to develop confidence in themselves and progress their learning

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in a related field or experience working with young people
  • Resilience and an open-mind to support children's mental health challenges
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
