Job Title: Asset Technical Support Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Asset Technical Support Engineer (Mechanical) to join our Asset Delivery team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our assets, while also contributing to the development of our engineering strategy and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the recovery of asset failures and ensure compliance with management procedures and regulations.
  • Identify and document asset improvement opportunities in safety, regulatory compliance, and affordability.
  • Provide engineering support to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Lead or support Standard Investigations for pollutions and performance shortfalls.
  • Ensure robust financial management in all decisions.
  • Support the development of engineering strategy and standards.
  • Update asset information in collaboration with capital partners.
  • Review maintenance plans and analyze asset health for improvement.
  • Manage the delivery of onsite works for minor Mechanical projects.

Requirements:

  • Formal engineering qualification to a minimum of HNC or equivalent (HND or degree preferred).
  • Previous engineering experience in water/waste/sludge treatment.
  • Experience in developing engineering solutions.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis Investigation (RCA).
  • Proficient in corporate IT Computer Systems (e.g., SAP).
  • A full, valid driving licence (with no more than 6 points).

Working Arrangements:
