About the Role

Are you an experienced IT professional with a passion for infrastructure systems engineering? We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our team at Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester, England. As an integral part of our Information Systems (IS) team, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation of engineering projects and digital initiatives across the UK and Asia region.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support IS technical projects with a focus on engineering, working collaboratively with project teams to deliver assigned projects.
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide IS project status updates to the Project Management Office (PMO) and IS Management.
  • Build server infrastructure, including creating servers, configuring and maintaining Windows servers, ensuring compliance with security regulations, and installing SQL Server.
  • Act as L2 and L3 support for IS infrastructure, diagnosing complex problems, and providing resolutions.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, who is resilient and able to manage ambiguity and complexity. You should have excellent problem-solving skills, working knowledge of various Windows Server Operating systems, experience with monitoring tool solutions, and documentation skills related to IS projects. Familiarity with aerospace business, VMWare, NetApp, Citrix, and basic understanding of IT/IS disciplines, technologies, and platforms is a plus.

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £50,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 25 days holiday + UK Bank Holidays, plus the option to buy/sell annual leave.

  • Pension scheme (up to 8% match).
  • Hybrid/Flexible working hours with an early finish on a Friday (4.5 day working week).
