This role is focused on promoting high-quality information and advice about childcare and related matters to various audiences. You will work in the community, attending events, visiting local groups, and engaging with key partners to ensure effective dissemination of information. Your duties will include gathering data to manage the childcare market, liaising with partners to collect information, and updating an accurate database of childcare provision and activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification or work experience in a child-related field. Additionally, you should have a Level 3 NVQ or above in Advice and Guidance or Customer Service, as well as relevant ICT skills sufficient to develop systems and analyze data.

You should be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels, and have the ability to present a positive, practical, and creative approach to the use of ICT, including social media. Knowledge and understanding of the Childcare Act, Data Protection Act, and Freedom of Information Act are also essential.
