Role Description

The Information Technology Security Specialist will be part of the Enterprise IT (EIT) team, responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of all enterprise managed systems and services. The successful candidate will work closely with the Cyber Assurance Team to deliver a range of technical assurance services, including security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in ensuring the security and integrity of our IT systems and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security solutions to mitigate identified risks, and provide regular security status reports to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and weaknesses
- Develop and implement technical assurance plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security solutions to mitigate identified risks
- Provide regular security status reports to senior stakeholders, highlighting key issues and recommended mitigation strategies

Requirements

- A strong background in IT security, with experience in applying industry standard security policy, standards, and good practice guidance
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and articulate observations, conclusions, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and recommend mitigation strategies to address identified risks
