Job Title: MEP Senior Cost Manager

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Senior Cost Manager to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our Real Estate team, you'll be responsible for leading the MEP specific deliverables within larger projects or leading direct MEP commissions. Your expertise will be instrumental in establishing early budgets, estimating, and cost planning, as well as managing design teams, tendering, and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commission Management: Assist in feasibility studies, write procurement reports, estimate and cost plan, tender and procure, manage post-contract cost variances, and produce monthly post-contract cost reports.
  • Cost Management: Take personal responsibility for making cost checks, carrying out valuations, and ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation.
  • Leadership: Lead a cost management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle.
  • Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towards.
  • Degree or HNC level qualification.
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Experience in delivering MEP elements of work for clients.
  • Knowledge and contacts within the MEP supply chain.
  • Utilizing digital software for delivery of cost management services.
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills.
  • Excellent people person and great communicator.
