Job Title: AST Support Worker

This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team at Target Housing, providing high-quality housing support services to tenants in Grimsby and Hull.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated AST Support Worker to join our team. As an AST Support Worker, you will provide personalized support to tenants, helping them to achieve their goals and maintain independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist tenants with moving in and out of Target accommodation
  • Assess tenant needs and create personalized support plans
  • Act as keyworker, providing advice and support to tenants
  • Help tenants manage their personal budgets and claim welfare benefits
  • Support tenants to understand their rights and responsibilities under occupancy agreements
  • Encourage tenants to achieve personal goals and promote independence
  • Carry out regular tenant risk assessments and safety plans
  • Support planning and review progress towards agreed objectives
  • Monitor compliance with occupancy agreements and raise issues with tenants and management
  • Liaise with partner agencies to deliver focused support
  • Manage and address neighbor disputes
  • Assist in delivering and developing tenant activities
Person Specifications:
  • Understanding of services provided to vulnerable groups
  • Knowledge of delivering supported housing services
  • Basic knowledge of welfare benefits system
  • Understanding of risk assessments and safety plans
