About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Architect Development Manager to join our team at VELUX Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for cultivating strong connections with architects in your region, showcasing how our roof window solutions enhance living spaces and seamlessly integrate into their designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive plan within your region to establish and nurture partnerships, fostering relevance and raising awareness of our roof window solutions.
  • Proactively manage architect practices in your region through engaging meetings and presentations (CPDs) aimed at inspiring and educating on the principles of Healthy Indoor Environments and Sustainable Building Practices, showcasing how VELUX products integrate daylight and fresh air into project designs.
  • Understand our partners' design needs and the key drivers behind their projects and recommend optimal design solutions, including creating basic drawings and requesting visualization packages from colleagues.
  • Represent VELUX at local, regional, and national conferences, organising events and seminars for architects.
  • Promote and expand our service portfolio for architects and planners, developing additional offerings as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with VELUX internal stakeholders, including Project Development Managers and Area Sales Managers, ensuring seamless project management and handover through the pipeline.
  • Spearhead the creation of a sustainable architectural network in your region, serving as the interface to our project responsible team.
  • Establish a network with influential architecture universities and course leaders in the region, presenting and providing VELUX content to inspire the next generations of architects with our principles of designing Healthy Indoors and Sustainable Building Practices.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with relevant regional and local architectural societies, such as RIBA/RIAS and planning authorities, as well as broader influencers.

You will use your effective communication skills, curiosity, and ability to connect with others to make you a standout partner. You should have a deep appreciation for people and architecture.

Requirements

  • You should have an understanding of the world and everyday life of an architect and be able to engage on the architects' terms.
  • You should understand architect drawings, create simple drawings of the roof with roof window solutions, and instruct others to use these drawings for render designs.
  • You should have solid IT-skills and experience in among others the Microsoft office package.
