Job Details:

Salary Range: £38,092 to £45,389 pro-rata, per annum (inclusive of £3,000 per annum market supplement for Senior Social Workers)

Work Location: Basingstoke, Eastleigh, Totton or Havant, hybrid working (home and office based)

Hours per week: 37 (part-time hours will be considered)

Contract type: Temporary for 18 months

The Role:

As a qualified social worker, you will work closely with our Community Teams and Commissioning Team on a broad spectrum of complex issues. You will support our work with the Learning Disability and Autism Programme, working in partnership with our colleagues in the Integrated Care Board to facilitate hospital discharges from a Mental Health setting for individuals with a diagnosed learning disability and/or autism. You will attend Discharge Planning Meetings and may be required to attend Tribunals, as well as compiling Social Circumstances Reports for the courts. Our supportive and established team will provide you with the right environment to enable you to meet the challenges of this demanding, but very rewarding role.

This role requires you to be innovative, person-centred and committed to working with adults in a strengths-based way. Excellent relationship management skills will be critical for building and maintaining positive relationships with individuals, families, carers and other professionals. You will enjoy working collaboratively with partners to identify problems and implement effective solutions and be comfortable using your sound knowledge and proven expertise to make decisions.

This role is ideal for experienced social workers looking to stretch themselves and take on a new challenge, or for those returning to social work after a break. Our newly qualified social workers are paid at £33,951 per annum for the first year of employment.

We are committed to your continued personal development and offer an extensive package of support and training. You will be able to work from one of four work bases (Basingstoke, Eastleigh, Totton or Havant), depending on your preference.

Travel Requirements:

You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight or other local authority, and it is essential that you have a current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
