Pensions Administrator Role

We are seeking an experienced Pensions Administrator to support clients and scheme members on complex queries and calculations at Aptia Group. As a Pensions Administrator, you will play a key role in communicating with clients and scheme members, gaining a thorough understanding of scheme details, and performing complex pensions calculations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Communicate with clients and scheme members on complex queries via letter and telephone.
2. Gain a thorough understanding of scheme details administered in the team and ensure activities are processed in line with scheme rules.
3. Perform complex pensions calculations, enter pensions data, and answer enquiries to the required standard.
4. Perform checking activity as required to support team members and use MI reporting to monitor progress.
5. Ensure errors, omissions, and complaints are handled in accordance with agreed procedures and within appropriate timescales.
6. Monitor project income and work with your manager to ensure client projects are delivered on plan and to budget.

Requirements:
1. Experience liaising with clients and trustees.
2. Ability to perform complex pension calculations and peer review other calculations to a high standard of accuracy.
3. Strong knowledge of member calculation processes, Defined Benefit (DB) scheme knowledge, scheme types, and governing legislation issues.
4. In-depth knowledge of UK pensions legislation.
5. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Able to analyse and improve processes.
8. Relevant professional qualification (e.g. PMI) - desirable.
