Senior Pensions Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Pensions Administrator to join our team at Aptia Group. As a Pensions Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting clients and scheme members on complex queries and calculations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients and scheme members on complex queries via letter, email, and telephone.
- Gain a thorough understanding of scheme details administered in the team and ensure activities are processed in line with scheme rules.
- Perform complex pensions calculations, enter pensions data, and answer enquiries to the required standard.
- Perform checking activity as required to support team members and use MI reporting to monitor progress.
- Ensure errors, omissions, and complaints are handled in accordance with agreed procedures and within appropriate timescales.
- Monitor project income and work with your manager to ensure client projects are delivered on plan and to budget.
- Identify opportunities to generate additional revenue within your client group and ensure requests for additional work are identified and costs calculated and confirmed.
Requirements:
- Experience liaising with clients and trustees.
- Ability to perform complex pension calculations and peer review other calculations to a high standard of accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of member calculation processes, Defined Benefit (DB) scheme knowledge, scheme types, and governing legislation issues.
- In-depth knowledge of UK pensions legislation.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to analyse and improve processes.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. PMI) - desirable.
