We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Oncology and Haematology team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a Clinical Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing a clinical pharmacy service to our patients, working closely with pharmacists, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Implementing and maintaining an advanced clinical technical service to the Trust, including the clinical verification of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT)
  • Supporting the Oncology and Haematology pharmacy service in dealing with technical and clinical queries from the multidisciplinary team, wider pharmacy department, and patients
  • Completing drug histories for ward patients and building chemotherapy regimens on the electronic chemotherapy prescribing system (ARIA)
  • Developing and implementing SACT treatment protocols and policies, and exploring opportunities for pharmacy technician roles within treatment-specific clinics
