Aerospace Estimator Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Estimator to join our team at Hunter Mason Consulting. As an Aerospace Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate quotations and negotiating tenders with clients in the metalwork and construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Estimating architectural metalwork, secondary steelwork, and structural steel
  2. Reading architects and engineers' drawings
  3. Material take-offs and tender summaries
  4. Obtaining supplier quotations and negotiating
  5. Preparing quotations to meet deadlines
  6. Drafting detailed quotations
  7. Liaising with clients to discuss tender submissions
  8. Sales follow-ups of quotations
  9. Attending client meetings and occasional site visits
  10. Working with other departments
Requirements:
  1. Understanding of metalwork or associated trade
  2. Background in construction industry or manufacturing
  3. Good IT skills
  4. Excellent communication skills
  5. Ability to work well in a team and with good people skills
  6. Ability to work on own initiative and self-motivated
  7. Good planning and organizational skills
  8. Positive attitude to work with attention to detail
  9. Flexible approach and able to prioritize tasks

A background in QS or sales negotiating is also desirable.
