Job Title: Aerospace Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Estimator to join our team at Currie & Brown Group Limited. As an Aerospace Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in the rail and aviation sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate cost estimates for projects, taking into account scope and timescales.
  • Ensure project costs and performance are reliably compared and benchmarked.
  • Validate suppliers' and contractors' cost estimates to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare cost estimates during the execution phase to validate contractors' cost forecasts and contract changes.
  • Provide specialist cost planning and estimating services in accordance with our rail clients' governance and assurance procedures.
  • Support budget development, investment authorisation, and cost reconciliation.
Requirements:
  • BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in the rail, highways, or utilities sector.
  • Understanding of project management, planning, risk, and investment processes.
  • Working knowledge of cost planning techniques for the financial control of projects during design development stages.
  • Proficient in the use of unit cost modelling tools.
  • Good technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible.
