Aerospace Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Estimator to join our team at Robert Hurst Limited. As an Aerospace Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating and cost controlling projects within the industrial and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage cost on projects, ensuring accurate estimates and cost control.
  2. Develop and maintain detailed cost reports, including BOQ production and cost management.
  3. Collaborate with architects and other professionals to ensure project success.
  4. Navigate and understand building regulations and codes.
  5. Process project paperwork and travel to sites as required.
  6. Monitor costs and expenditure across the construction process.
Requirements:
  1. Experience of managing cost on projects within industrial and commercial sectors.
  2. Skills in Estimating, Cost Control, BOQ, Cost Management, and Cost Forecasting and Planning.
  3. Experienced working within a principal building contractor.
  4. Experienced in creating detailed cost reports.
  5. Solid experience in the construction industry.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to work under pressure.
  8. Professional certification is preferred, but not essential.
  9. Driver's license is essential; vehicle will be supplied.
  10. Conversant with Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, Bluebeam and other program software such as Asta Power Project would be an advantage.
  11. Experience of JCT & NEC contracts.
  12. Educated as a minimum to HNC/HND/Degree level (or equivalent).
  13. Experience of Pre-Qualification and Tendering process for complex bespoke projects.

The full remuneration package will be discussed at the interview stage.
