RPS is seeking an Environmental Permitting Specialist to join their Permitting & Compliance team. The team supports a range of projects including waste management, conventional and renewable energy, oil and gas, and other major industrial clients. The RPS permitting team is a leading consultancy in this field and is actively supporting projects that will deliver the UK's Net Zero commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting senior members of the team in the preparation of applications for environmental permits, licenses, and approvals from regulatory agencies.
  • Developing management plans required by clients' environmental permits.
  • Carrying out monitoring to demonstrate compliance with permit conditions.
  • Supporting responses to pre-operational conditions and permit improvement condition items.
  • Providing support to proposals for new projects with review from senior staff.

Requirements

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and manage work to agreed deadlines.
  • Strong communication (verbal and technical writing) skills.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
